Baked Spaghetti!

Spaghetti with a sassy twist! With 3 cheeses and 2 sauces, this baked spaghetti has got it going on!


Ingredients:

- 1 package (16 oz.) of spaghetti

- 1 lb. ground beef

- 1 medium yellow or white onion, chopped

- 3 cloves of garlic, minced

- 1 tsp salt (I used onion salt)

- 1 jar Vodka sauce

- 1 jar Marinara/Red sauce (I used a tomato and basil sauce)

- 2 large eggs

- 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese

- 5 tablespoons of butter, melted

- 2 tsp Italian seasoning (separated 1 tsp & 1 tsp)

- 2 cups ricotta cheese (16 oz container)- 1 cup per each layer

- 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (2 cups per layer)


Directions:

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees -

1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions.

2. While spaghetti is cooking, use a large skillet to cook the ground beef, onion, garlic, and salt until the ground beef is browned. Drain if needed. Stir in both jars of sauce and stir. Set aside.

3. In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs, parmesan, and melted butter.

4. Drain spaghetti and add to the medium bowl with the egg mixture. Toss the spaghetti to be coated.

5. In a 13 x 9 baking dish, add half of the spaghetti, then 1 cup (half of the container) of ricotta cheese, half the meat sauce, and 1 tsp Italian seasoning, and 2 cups mozzarella.

6. Repeat step #5 for the second layer-- (Spaghetti, ricotta, meat sauce, Italian seasoning, mozzarella).

7. Cover dish with foil and bake at 350 F for 40 minutes. Uncover and cook for 20 more minutes.

8. Let sit for about 5-10 minutes to cool, then enjoy!
